HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT!

Great job, Ash, you helped me with something personal. Grace is not a permission to sin, BUT, it is permission to be human. Did Jesus die on that Cross for us to screw up? Yep. HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU! God told Paul because Paul's thorn in the flesh was lust and Paul thought, well, better get a handle on it or burn. Yeah, it was. That's what he thought. Yeah, he did. OMG! I drank again! Going to hell. I snorted a line. Going to hell. Watched corn. Going to hell. NOOOOOOOOOO! Repent, pick yourself up, and move on. What exactly do you think the Holy Ghost is there for? He cleans us up. The Holy Ghost loooooves cleaning people up. After He changes your heart and makes you a new creature, that's His job. And, He loooooves it. He ain't fragile. Don't call the Holy Ghost an "IT". But, people do. Still, He cleans them up. He's God, too. He's Jesus's Spirit. When you repent, you renew your mind. Yes, it's simple. God is simple. He means what He says. HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU! I went through that works crap. But, I had this voice that kept saying, Grace is a better way! Don't repent for two weeks. I dare you. You won't go to hell. I didn't once, just got busy and forgot. The sin piled up and my literal brain started malfunctioning because I hadn't repented and let the Holy Ghost renew my mind (renew the mind is when the Holy Ghost, with the literal Blood of Jesus, takes away your sin and renews you). I repented and BOOM! Back to normal thinking. Thinking about hitting the bottle again, cheating, watching corn, smoking a joint? PRAY I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENETH ME! Phil. 4:13. Resist the devil and he'll flee from you the Bible says. Christ resists the devil through you. But, you have to make a choice to let Christ do it. How do you pray? The Lord's prayer. Jesus told us how to pray and what to say. I say it every morning pretty much. Read it and look at it. It does everything. The Flesh (our endemic nature that exalts you over God) hates spiritual things because IT wants to be in control. Rebuke it. Praying and reading the Bible brings it unto submission. You also have to fight it. You fight it with the Word and the Spirit. The more you feed your spirit, the more you defeat the flesh. The Holy Ghost called me righteous once. I was like, your kidding, right? LOL Guess what, when you get saved, God only sees Jesus when He looks at your sin, and HIS GRACE IS SUFFICIENT! Salvation by works is of the devil. It's a prison without any walls.
